I could use some help with the Jones Act

I am currently in the Caribbean. We were supposed to be back in Port Everglades this weekend, but with Dorian coming we got pushed to Wednesday. Normally this wouldn't be a problem, but I'm supposed to be on a Princess ship in SF on Tuesday for an Alaska sailing.
Since I will miss the embarkation in SF, can I fly to meet the ship in the first stop, Juneau, and continue the cruise from there?? Would that be a Jones Act violation? I don't think it would be since port SF and Juneau are US ports. What do you think??

thanks for the help!

Never mind . I figured it out. I can't embark and disembark at two different US ports without touching a "distant foreign port".

PVSA. Not Jones Act. Not only a difference in passengers vs. cargo/freight but Jones Act ships have to be built in the U.S. while PVSA doesn't require that (IIRC).

Please let us know how this turned out for you. If you are unable to make the cruise, did your trip insurance come through?

Exceptions can be made to the PSVA don't know if it is done on an individual basses. Our cruise went from NYC Brooklyn to Boston and back to Manhattan during Hurricane Sandy on Princess. Brooklyn pier was still under water.

No other ports? It's possible they made an exception during a disaster, or more likely the cruise line's insurance could have paid for all the penalties. They will definitely not make individual allowances.
