Best lodging in Dover, England vacinity?

Does anyone have recommendations for a good lodging experience for one-night pre-cruise in or near Dover, England? Thanks!

Cruise Critic will be invaluable for this type of information.
Put "lodging in Dover" into their search engine and many suggestions will appear.
Happy Cruising!

Thanks. I am a CC user, but ask in FT because I think the demographic is different! ^

Bit of an oxymoron, 'nice' and 'Dover' don't really sit well in the same paragraph. Calais perhaps?

Well, at least you are correct with your first sentence. Calais to Dover is as Rochester NY to Toronto Ont. Except for the ferry.

I actually got some good advice on another forum for estate options in nearby communities.

I spent three nights at Premier Inn during May and found it quite adequate. Very close to the docks and within walking distance to town.

A room an the beach side was quiet and comfortable. If you're going to have breakfast then pre-pay it with your booking.

Internet is crap but you can pay an extortionate fee for a faster speed.
