IAH to Galveston Pier

Help,

Need to get to Galveston from IAH.

I am renting a car and using it for a few days in Houston returning it at the airport the day of the cruise.

Can someone recommend a reputable car service to get from IAH to Galveston? It's for 4 people.

Thanks!

I'd compare the cost of dropping the rental @ Galveston (or Hobby) v. UberX.

Thanks.

UberX is a car service I presume?

Ask the cruise line about transport; they likely have some buses set up to run from IAH.

Thanks. The issue about cruise ship transfer from IAH is that it only leaves from the airport and I'm spending a few days ahead of time in Houston. Would prefer a private transfer. Just not sure which company is good.

Googling private limo brings up so many choices!

Supershuttle.com has a private car option at IAH.

Thanks Doc!

It appears the mean average costs will be $200 (may or may not include tip) for my party of 4.

Boils down to reliability.... and reputation

Probably cheaper to drop/return the car in Galveston than a $200 limo ride.

Depends on the day the cruise departs. If it's a Sunday, I don't think any of the agencies on the island are open. Best to check before assuming renting a car is the best option.

Looks like $150 to the Galveston Cruise Terminal with Supershuttle...

ExecuCar Sedan Meet & Greet
First Passenger :$150.00
Each Additional Passenger :$0.00
Fuel Surcharge : $1.00
Max Passengers :4
Über might be cheaper.

Super shuttle seems to be the best value at $150 plus tips I am assuming. They have a SUV option for $175,

Limos.com comes in at $200 all in including tips.

Very competitive as it should be.
