Aurora sighting on Alaskan inside passage cruise

Sorry very silly/naive question...we've booked to go on this Alaskan 7 night inside passage cruise YVR to YVR return in early July next year and just wondering if there is any possibility of northern light (aurora) sightings while on the cruise?

You mostly see it during the winter months. I doubt you will see it in July.

Extremely unlikely in July. Even in September when the odds are slightly better it is rarer than a double op-up on an airline without status.

Ok thanks, I'll opt for the op-up then.

1. July: too many hours of daylight. If you were going further north, even less chance. Does the expression "midnight sun" ring any bells?

2. Inside passage YVR-YVR: Clouds happen. A lot.

Yes Fairbanks in March will give you and excellent chance - also on the Left Hand Side of a trans-atlantic plane flight Oct-Mar is not too bad either
