Allure of the Seas
Just got off the Allure of the Seas in FLL. She's H-U-G-E! With almost 6k people on board and 2k crew it was unreal! We did the Western Caribbean and Haiti was amazing. Jamaica though was a different story, it was very hot and humid and to top it all off the port was half finished :(
I would recommend the Allure of the Seas to anyone but the Eastern itinerary is much better. Avoid Jamaica at all costs or just stay on the boat. There is so much to do on it anyway, you don't need to leave! :D 16 decks above water 8 below 22 bars and restaurants An open air aqua theater on the back a bar the goes up and down floors great food did i say bingo?? :p |
Me and my friend have booked 7 days Eastern with Allure in February, looknig forward to it sooooo much! I did Western with Oasis last year, loved it!

Not worth the extra cost
Admittedly, it is a beautiful ship with a LOT of nice features, but is it worth a markup of 2-3 times the cost of a similar itinerary on a smaller ship? Not in my opinion.
Just got back from the Eastern Itinerary and was very impressed with the ship, but I would wait a couple of years for the enormous hype to wear off and get this at a much more reasonable price. |

BurBunny, perhaps for a late Aug or Sept departure, but when I sailed on June 26, the markup was indeed 2-3 times. I did check.

full TR?
Could you post a full TR please? I'd live to read it
|
BA__Jfan, there are plenty of TR's on the Cruise Critic Boards. You may want to look there. I tried to post one but they timed me out before I finished and I was not about to do it all over again. One comment I will make is: "Has anyone beside me noticed that the quality of food in the Main Dining Rooms has gone down as the number of Specialty Restaurants goes up?" It's all about revenue, baby.
