Flight points after schedule change for connecting flight?

I bought my ticket with the Premier Pass credit card for SFO-IAD-LGA on United. There was a schedule change and my flight is now SFO-ORD-LGA instead of SFO-IAD-LGA.
Will they give you flight points for SFO-ORD-LGA by submitting your boarding pass even if your credit card statement shows your original flight is SFO-IAD-LGA?
Thank you!

Citi has no knowledge of if, when, or where you use the ticket or anything else that happens after the purchase. You should automatically receive Flight Points based on the ticketed itinerary, no need to submit boarding passes.

Thanks Mia!
But the problem is Citi lists SFO-WAS-LGA instead of SFO-IAD-LGA. So I still have to submit boarding pass to get flight points for my flight. Now United changes my connecting flight and my boarding pass does not match my original flight. Will Citi still credit the flight points in this case?

Yes, they should still credit your flight.

Unless not properly credited, you shouldn't have to submit your boarding passes. If not properly credited just send in the original and changed intinerary with boarding passes to CITI.

To be sure we understand correctly your concern is that Flight Points will not post automatically because WAS is not an airport?

How Long ago?

Perhaps the Origional Poster is worried too soon. If they were expecting the Flight points show on the account , at the the same time as the charge, they might just have to wait a little longer. Don't Flight points post at the end of the Following statement period?

Before the schedule change, since WAS is not an airport, I know that I still have to submit boarding pass to get flight points from Citi for SFO-WAS(IAD)-LGA.

Now with the schedule change, I don't know if Citi will honor SFO-ORD-LGA with statement shows SFO-WAS-LGA for my original booking.

Sorry if I don't make it clear.
Well, I guess I just send the original itinerary and the updated one to Citi after I complete my travel.

I've run into this problem with United flights before. My recollection is that Citi PremierPass started being able to automatically process United's domestic destinations where United was putting in city codes instead of airport codes (e.g., CHI, NYC, WAS), but as recently as this year, I was still having problems with points posting for flights to/from London (LON instead of LHR). They might have gotten enough complaints about it to add the city codes to their database, for example.

However, I never had to actually FAX in boarding passes -- I would talk to a manager and have them look at the flight information passed from the airline to Citi, and they'd make the necessary adjustments that would post with either the next statement or the one following that.

Another related but different question.

I am aware that the terms for the PP Elite card state that cardmembers do not earn points on tickets that are cancelled and refunded, but has anyone had any experiences contrary to this?
