GE Corp Card - Rewards?
 

My company just got acquired, and we had to give up our AMEX corp cards, and now they make us use the GE Corp Card. Just wondering what kind of points program is out there on this card, so I can at least earn something with all the travel I'm doing.

Any thoughts will help.

I used to work for GE and I used my own card. They issued me a corporate card but I never activated it. I was never asked about it and my expense reports were never questioned in regards to the payment.

No benefits from the card that I can remember when I worked at GE 4 years ago. That is the point - GE companies use a card issued by sister GE Capital Corp and save on the fees/recoup the benefits vs Amex/Diner's in the grand corporate scheme of things. You can still earn the regular points/miles for the hotels and airlines themselves. You can also register it for one of the miles4dining program and earn points for a few business meals here and there.

I think we could use our personal card too - but if you travel a lot - it becomes a lot of money to float the company (and before they digitized the T&E process, any little error would kick back the expense report and reimbursement could take a couple months - so I opted to use the card).

One positive compared to Amex is that when the Hyatt Faster Free Nights (FFN) promotion is on, your Mastercard paid corporate stays count whereas my Amex paid stays do not count (current employer requires all charges on the Amex).
