Visa Signature Purchase Protection Plan... HELP!

Hey!

Having a little difficuly with Visa Signatures Purchase Protection Plan. It says that your product is covered within 90 days for theft and fire after purchase. My sons Ipod was stolen onboard a taxi while in Cozumel, Mexico. He was on a mission trip. We bought this Ipod in September and it is covered until the nearly the end of the month (with Visa).....

I called them up, told them my story gave them my details and they rejected my claim. Due to the fact that they do not cover theft involving a motor vehicle.

Is there anyway to get my claim covered. It seems a little weird that they do not include claims involving motor vehicles.

It is very frustrating as we are very loyal customers to Visa and spent quite a bit with them (We could be AMEX Centurion holders).....

Any thoughts, suggestions

Thanks and God Bless

Did your son get a police report? My family has had more success with these kinds of claims if a police report accompanies the claim. This includes a stolen ipod in Barcelona. Getting a police report can be a pain, but it often helps.

In this case, I'm not sure it would mitigate the moving vehicle problem, however.

Unfortunatlly we do not. His passport was in that bag, so we were more worried about getting him out of the country, so we just filed a police claim for the passport
