Any good cash back like 5% on groceries?
Citi just stopped paying the 5%
cashback on groceries at Meijers. That's where I do all my grocery shopping. Any other cards available? |

amex blue I believe went upto 5%, but for small spending, it was worthless.
I like the Amex True earnings. 1% - everything, 2% - travel, 3% dining. I think Discover card now offers higher %% on gas and groceries.. |

If you have a Citibank card you can just ask them to convert your account to a Dividend Reward card. It'll preserve the length of your history (i.e. won't close/open new account) and you'll get 5% on groceries up to $300 per year as long as the program is up and running.
That's probably the easiest way to keep getting 5%. I personally really like Citibank credit cards. |
Citibank recently changed things on their end for Meijer purchases. They're still coded as Grocery/Supermarket on the MC/AMEX networks, but Citi now only counts them as 1%. This is the change that the OP is referring to, as Meijer used to be credited the full 5%.
I know, because the month that they changed this was the month I spent $500 at Meijer on stuff for my new place. I was really hoping for my $25 and was very disappointed to only get $5. :( |

Yeah, but it takes $6500 to get the 5% |

I think that card has been dicontinued. |
