star alliance c. card us based
 

Is there any star alliance member airline credit card for US based people that does not have a cap on miles that can be earned without any status?
I used to use my delta miles to redeem on south african, but now they are moving to star alliance. So i am lookiong for a star alliance member whom I can get a card with and make my purchases with. Amex is not the best option as many of my vendors do not take it. any advice?

USAirways, Lufthansa, Air Canada, or ANA have no yearly limit
 

This is as complete a list of *A Visas or Mastercards available to US residents as I can come up with.

-The Juniper USAirways card does not have a yearly cap. To quote from the T&C: "There is no limit to the number of Dividend Miles which may be earned."

wow, thanks for all the info, I actually go via europe, as the awards from usa are never available. Do you know the requirments from europe?

Never available from the US? I wouldn't give up on the possibility, as there are lots of routing possibilities.

I'd suggest that you visit the forum of those programs you think you'd be interested in--search around for relevant info, ask questions if needed. You might also think about your travel patterns, etc.
