Double miles on school-UAplus Visa?

I will start paying school expenses for my daugher this summer. UA Visa offers double miles for qualified school expenses. The University uses net.pay to process the tuition payments. Will credit card payments through a payment processor qualify? Does anyone have any experience with this?

Thanks

Short

You know they are going to charge you a fee--something like 2%, right?

What is the typical fee though? I looked at my brother's school and it's $45. If I have to pay a bunch of $45 fees on $30000, that's hardly anything for double miles.

You have a generous school. They must be absorbing some of the expense. My school (USF) charges something like 2.4% which would work out to something like $720 on a $30,000 tab. Not worth it.

My school (Ohio State) is looking at allowing CC payments next year (currently, direct deposit or check/MO only). Anticipated charge is $30. Well worth it if they decide to do it ^

I have been paying for my wife's grad school using this card. Thankfully the college isn't charging me any fees to do it. That seems to be the exception rather than the rule though according to previous posts.
