successes at challenging mis-categorization of purchases?
 

My Citi card which earns 5 TY points per dollar spent at gas, grocery, and drugstores often doesn't give proper credit for one or two purchases. The net effect of this is the loss of a couple thousand points per year - not enough to lose sleep over. The one time I challenged this - over several transactions - I eventually got a form letter saying the merchant did not report themselves in the proper category.

Usually this occurs with small independent gas stations. On my recent statement, though, I didn't get credit for a freestanding Texaco station, which sure seems strange. Anyone ever have any luck getting these things switched?
