2 for 1 flights

Is there a Visa/Mastercard/other card that offers 2 for 1 domestic flights like AMEX platinum/centurion that offers them for international flights?

1. Lots do. Search this forum for "companion fares" and you'll get lots of hits.

2. Be aware that the "get-one-free" ticket is only good if your "buy one" ticket is expensive, and that normally, you can buy two tickets for less than the price you will pay for the "buy one" ticket, so this offer is normally never used by those who receive it.

3. If you start a thread that asks a question, it is considerate to put a question mark in the thread title ("2 for 1 flights?" instead of "2 for 1 flights"). That way, everybody who sees it will not click onto it thinking that you have just discovered some exciting new offer that we should all be made aware of.

You ought to get your facts straight before lecturing posters. Take a look at the icon for the post.

Now, is there anyone out there willing to answer my original question?

Not lecturing, just offering a gentle reminder.

I already did. Just read it.

The American Express "Executive Business" Gold card offers a domestic companion fare program, but reading the terms and conditions it doesn't seem to offer first class tickets and the tickets are 100% inflexible.

Wrong. I get exactly 8 hits, with only one post having any relevance to my original question.

I will get even more specific with my post. I am looking for a mastercard/visa card that gives a 2 for 1 benefit for first class tickets on domestic flights, similar to American Express' 2 for 1 for business/first class for overseas flights. I am asking here because I previously did a google search and came up with nothing relevant.

Citigroup Chairman Card "Receive a complimentary companion ticket with a qualifying coach or first-class domestic ticket that meets minimum fare requirements of $359 or more for travel during low-season (Sept 16-Jan 14) or $379 for travel in high season (Jan 15-Sept 15), with a destination in the continental US. You also receive a complimentary companion ticket with the purchase of one adult roundtrip, non-restricted coach or first-class international ticket."

Odd. I got 151 hits. Here are my search results:

Search results for "companion fares"

Here is another search with 500 hits.

I didn't look at all of them, but more than one dealt with your original question. I spent about 5 minutes, and it appears that Royal Bank has companion fare certs, and that the Delta affinity card does also. I'm sure that a more thorough perusing would turn up a lot more.

Hope this helps. :)

The problem is you didn't follow your own instructions. Conducting a search of this forum, as per your original post, generates 8 threads exclusive of this one.

I know someone previously recommended the Chairman Card from Citibank. Premier Pass Elite from Citibank, with a considerably less annual fee, also offers 2 for 1 companion tickets. The program is exactly the same, so if you don't need all the other bundled benefits through the Chairman Card, the Premier Pass Elite card maybe something that would better fit your needs. Just remember, with any of these programs, they are very restrictive and you must make reservations well in advance as availability diminishes very quickly. There are many threads about both the Chairman and Premier Pass cards from Citibank, so I would also recommend you do a search to find out more information about the two products.
