White Visa Card

The "White Visa" card that they are referring to is the Stratus Rewards Card, issued by US Bank.

Here is the link with information on the card:

Stratus Visa Card

sincs all the PR has died down regarding the Stratus Card, has anyone who took up the offer got any feedback. Is it the "premium" product they suggested in their PR ? does the conceirge MintLifestyle do more than your average Centurian concierge, and do the "Academy Award Style" Sample bags come filled with Cartier and Armani ???

but seriously, someone who took up the offer share their experiences.
:)

Dear Member Services:

Thank you for the invitation to the Spago wine tasting, Butler Hampton Handicap Polo Match, cigar rolling primer and Yo Yo Ma performance. Unfortunately, we will be busy on those dates learning conversational Portuguese, training our dressage horses, instructing the crews of our yachts on proper waxing (it's so hard to get a qualified yacht crew these days) and reviewing our vast financial holdings with our private banker.

Perhaps next month when we return from our estate in Geneva, we can review other "personal enrichment" ideas you have for us.

Fondly,

Mr. Trevor Rothschild Vanderbilt dhuey IV

The Stratus Rewards Card issued by US Bank is basically a Platinum Card, as it is not recognized by Visa, like Visa Signature or Visa Infinite. I think it would be beneficial if it was a Strtus Rewards Visa Infinite or Visa Signature Card.

STRATUS REWARDS IS A VISA SIGNATURE PRODUCT so it is recognized by visa. Please do not post stuff you are not sure about or say " I think...." so the information passed on to fellow flyertalkers is useful.

fyi: I have seen the card and it says "visa signature". Also I have seen the membership agreement and the words "visa signature". The visa benifits are visa signature.

Other than that

Other than the functions (which are not too bad...I think all those type of things are the same), how is the customer service, the concierge, etc ???

Concierge services are handled by Mint - which is light years better than Amex Centurion.

I received this information from a US Bank representative, and assumed that the information was correct.

Sorry to ruffle your feathers.

Out of curiousity, anyone have any updates on their experiences with the Stratus Rewards Visa Card?

Visa Infinite?

Is there some sort of US equivalent for the Visa Infinite? According to Visa's website (not the link posted earlier but) http://www.visainfinite.com/ it seems to be something primarily for Asian / South American customers. If the Stratus Rewards card is a Visa Signature Card, is Visa Signature the highest "tier" of Visa cards offered in the US?

As far as I am aware, there are several banks in the US that issue the Visa Infinite Card; however, none of them advertise them through public terminals. They are primarily directed to Private Client Group customers of the respective banks; therfore if you don't have a relationship with them, you are generally not offered the card.

I believe this is the US site:

I read somewhere that the stratus card was visa white

There were a few US banks that offered the Visa Infinite (National City and Chase.) National City is no longer offering the Infinite and I'm not sure about Chase. It seem Visa USA wants the Visa Signature Card to be "elite card" in the US.

caligirl May 7, 2005 9:01 pm

I have a NWA Visa Signature card, I don't consider myself to be anywhere near elite so they misbranded that one.

I don't think Visa or Mastercard created their Signature and World line of credit cards strictly to target affluent lifestyles. More or less, they were created to blend a wide variety of benefits that would be useful for the frequent traveller. Signature and World cards run rampant in the credit card industry these days, and those who work in the travel industry probably see more of those cards than regular Classic, Gold, or Platinum cards. Some individuals who make less than $20K a year hold these so called "Elite" cards. It is more of who is willing to pay the annual fee in some cases, while others are given gratis.

So Any Actual Updates on Stratus Rewards Program ?

Since their launch with a big fanfare a year or two ago, havent heard anything. So what is the reward program like ? What are the lifestyle services like ? Have they improved or changed the program since launch ??

I'd be interested to hear from any stratus reward holders.....

alexbs Jun 28, 2005 4:34 pm

Surely someone has this card and can shed some light on it. After the big launch and press coverage, I am interested to see if the concept of a marketing organisation running the "font end" of a credit card can work ???
