VISA EXTRAS - WHACHAMAKEOFIT ?

I am confused as to what Visa is doing here. "Overlaying" stronger affinity programs, in that it seems one can register an affinity Visa thus earning double points (though admittedly these watered down affinity points are nothing to write home about), or is Visa trying to create their version of AMEX's (also becoming more watered down by the year) Membership Rewards.

Anyone familiar with this program ? Shame Visa and Citibank had such a major falling out last year or two. I would have looked into this program more earnestly.

I tried My AA Signature card and also a local credit union visa card and neither one was eligible.

Unless they design a website that includes solid facts, parameters, and processes without vague descriptions, it's not even worth my time to try and decipher this program.

Looks like yet another poorly-conceived half-baked home-grown points program. Yuck.

pinniped,
my thoughts exactly. Waste of effort.

Kind of like the eBay point program. Who ever thought of an affinity point program where the BUYER pays (in eBay's program, the buyer pays for the points). Talk about trying to redefine the paradigm.

It seems if your visa is tyed to any type of point program it not eligable for the new program.
