Case in point: A whole menagerie of corporate behemoths has come together to lure unsuspecting consumers into joining a "rewards and discount program" that'll in fact cost you about $70 a year.</font> |
I always shred these offers after reading the fine print.

I love it when I get them and I do cash them, and need not cancel since its stated that they will charge the credit card that was used previuosly(not a shell card) what they dont know is the card that was used I closed out months ago.Recently I was able to cash checks that totaled around $30 from these offers. It felt GREAT knowing that instead of scaming me I was scaming them, and at their behest.
Now of course if conneceted to a CC that is still active I either cash it if its $10 or more or simply rip it up and file it along with all the other stuff. |
But then again, some of them are free and yes, there are some free lunches over there.
Right now I have some checks from Shell/Chase MC offering 0% till November of 2003 ! Amazing, I can buy US savings bonds after July,15th with my Delta Amex for double miles, then turn around and transfer balance to MC and keep earning interest for 15 month. |
