where can I find info on MBNA rewards programs?
I am currently planning to dump my mbna NEA rewards card. However, I really like MBNA and would consider keeping them. I want to explore their other reward programs such as Plus Miles, and Platinum Plus miles, but I can not find info or links to these programs ANYWHERE on the MBNA site. The only thing I can find is a page that lists the various programs and the number to call to redeem your miles. Nothing else.
Does anyone know if there is there some online info on these programs? thanks.... |
I just signed up for the Select Rewards program with a Quantum Mastercard. It has no annual fee, and you can earn up to 1,000,000 miles per year. Although the redeption levels are not the greatest, I personally like the high mileage limit.
You can get more info at www.mbnaselectrewards.com |
The Amtrak card is the best option MBNA offers, due to the 1:1 transfer ratio with United & Continental. That's approx. a 2% return vs. a 1.6% return with SelctRewards.

I agree with Wolverine. Just requested MBNA to change my NEA Travel rewards Quantum into an Amtrak Platinum Plus. Much better option to get UA miles than expensive UA card or the new stupid rules of NEA redemption.

Unless I'm reading it wrong, the amtrak program seems to say that you will lose your points unless you ride amtrak every 3 years. Is this correct?

3 years. Have I ever had a MC for three years? :-)

You have 3 years to get the points into UA, Continental or to simply spend them on a host of other things the card offers.
In order to have the point not expire, you have to take a train ride with them. On another note, my points from this card are posting about 10 days from stetment closing date. Not bad, but still would like to see improvements on the lag time. |
