Card programs relevant for me?

800 credit score, have one card with capital one. I want to book 2 seats for southwest or United. The seats are 700$ each. Are there any cards that would be helpful with sign up bonuses and such? I dont want the same airlines often so future points wouldnt be very useful for me, I would need something that applies to the flights I want to book now or cash back.

The Chase Sapphire Preferred and Chase Sapphire Reserve cards earn Chase "Ultimate Rewards" points, which are transferrable on a 1:1 basis to both the United MileagePlus frequent-flyer program and the Southwest Rapid Rewards program. But neither card will get you free checked bags on either airline. If that benefit is important to you, you would (also?) need to get the Chase United or Chase Southwest co-branded credit card.

You can look at the current line-up of Chase cards here: https://creditcards.chase.com/rewards-credit-cards

One card won't give you enough point/miles for 2 $700 flights but you could probably get one covered. Do you have a SO who could also apply for a card? Look at business cards too. Do you have a little gig income?
