Any opinions on the value of this card? Is there any exceptional value to be had? Does the annual fee confer any automatic benefits that justify $99?

I did get the card because of the “perk” choice which includes a free hotel night after 15k in spending ( you theoretically can get a second night after 30k in spending). Combining this with spend points and sign up bonus made the card seem like a good deal for me as the NY hotel always seems to cost $800 per night or more. I completed the 15k spend a few weeks ago, got my statement but no sign of the free night yet. I guess it takes time. For me the card value will depend on if I am able to use the free nights when I want to.

I have been a Synchrony card member for 20 years but not this card. I have always received good customer service when I have had to call about any issue. The rewards always post soon after the statement close.
