Bank of America and Serve

Does Bank of America have a problem with the Amex Serve being used as an external payment account? Or perhaps it's Serve that doesn't allow itself being used as such? I tried it out of mere curiosity and was initially optimistic, since the trial deposits were accepted. But when I made a payment for my Alaska card, Bank of America was unable to withdraw funds from Serve. And not only that, Bank of America suspended my online bill payment service until reactivated.

Did you use Serve to bill pay your BOA account?
I don't have BOA, but I do use Serve to bill pay my Chase, Citi and Amex cards when necessary. However, the payment is a push to those banks.
I do not have any account "pull" money from Serve. I don't wish them to have access to my account. ;)

No, I don't use push to pay bills, just pull. I consider the often noted convenience of having a third party such as my bank handle my bills to be like a bowling ball or a pinball; once you let go, you don't really know when and where it'll going to wind up. :(

At this point I'm leaning towards Amex not allowing Serve the pulling from creditors. Amex on the credit card side and Chase merely declined the payment, Citi didn't accept Serve at payment time, and Discover didn't accept the routing number at trial deposit time. Bank Of America was the only bank to go excessive.

(my underline)
It is strange that you cannot bill pay Amex, Discover or Chase because I can and do.
I would suggest that you try again to set up your bill pay with those vendors, and contact them if they are the ones declining Serve's push to their bank. Usually it is sender who blocks your BP, not the receiver.

No it will not work with as I noticed with Bluebird. My billpay was suspended and took way too much to get back active. I will never try that again.

It's not a secret you cannot pull from Amex versions of either Bluebird or Serve, only push (unless you use Visa bank account version). Did you not read any of the previous discussion on this where this has been said over and over again?

What I'm interested in is which Bank of America biller you're using... I've been trying to add BoA Visa, BoA Credit Cards, and BoA without success with any ZIP codes for the AS card without success. If none of these are working manual entry is the only way to go...

If it's BOA can you use PayPal with the Serve debit?
