Any stores that accept returns to a different credit card?

Costco used to have this but they stopped completely for instore or online purchases. Wondering if there are any other stores that accept returns to a different credit card?

Unless Costco stopped very recently, the way around this is to purchase online with a Mastercard or Discover Card and then return in store where they will only return to a Visa card.

Thank you for your time. Wouldn't they still say it will get credited to the original card payment ?

Again, unless it's changed, when you make an in-store return at Costco they make you put the credit card into the card reader in order to process the refund. Since the in store card readers won't process a Mastercard credit card or Discover credit card you'll be told to insert a Visa card. If you insert a Visa *debit* card you'll get cash into your account.

I have only done this 2 or 3 times and always for a legitimate reason as I don't want to get banned from Costco.

they changed this policy recently. No more inserting card for returns. It simply goes back to original credit card. And hence im looking for new stores.

At Nordstrom and Freepeople I've inserted a different card than what was used for purchase and the credit went to that card.

Bought something about $100 on Costco.com on December 2020 on Visa card. Took it back to Costco warehouse in Feb 2021 to return it and they gave me cash for the return. I don't have a Costco Visa though and I have not return anything since then.

I did refund to a different card (visa debit). At first they tried to force me to refund to original card, but then I asked them to refund to different card, and they did. It was in December.

You may find a problem with that as the issuers have changed their systems to where a refund will not process if returned on a different card. If it does not find a matching charge there are two options to the merchant, correct to original card or cancel the refund. Both involve a lot of time and result in someone getting their butt chewed.

I've got the refund to my account with no issues.

Or cash.
