Best credit card to replace my SPG AMEX

I am not into using a lot of cards and for the past 7 or so years have enjoyed the flexibility the SPG card offered me as our main card. I mostly use the points for hotel redemption in the 5-7 day range for family vacations but have used the airline conversion several times. Our annual spend on it has been about 50k/yr so we got the gold status and seemed very lucky with upgrades and love the late checkouts. Since the merge with Marriott I don't see the same value so am looking at options. Currently leaning toward the Alliant 2.5% cash back card but honestly will miss the Gold status (maybe Ive just been lucky but...)with SPG so I am wondering if there is a hotel card I am missing that gives me similar value and status for the spend range I am at....

Thanks in advance!

Need New Rewards Credit Card

My old Starwood SPG Amex card would earn one air mile for every dollar spent, and then grant a bonus whenever I would transfer points into my HawaiianMiles Airline account. Marriot has swallowed up SPG and the new Marriott card doesn't have anything close to the same benefits. What other credit cards are available that give similar benefits? Does the Capital One card live up to the TV commercial hype?

American Express Blue Business Plus earns two Membership Rewards points per dollar, capped at $50,000 per year. These points transfer 1000:1000 to Hawaiian. The card is free, but there is a small fee when transferring to a domestic USA airline, including Hawaiian. There is no fee when transferring to foreign carriers.

Discussion here:

USA: Blue Business Plus, 2X ALL spend, $50k/yr cap. 20K TARGETED, 10K by referral.

Looks like we are going to see some refugees from SPG AmEx after the merger.

I have merged the two posts that arrived via Information Desk forum.

Amex BBP + Chase CSR, if you want to keep it simple.
