I don't really consider churning travel hacking in the first place. Back during my undergraduate days, I found a succession of coupon deals which were my first attempts at travel hacking. First with Western Pacific, then the TWA Youth Travel Kit which ended up helping me with AA and finally with Northwest fliers.
I remember walking around the mailroom and picking up these NWA vouchers that offered flights across the country based on zone. Sure wish those still existed!
