I purchased a $100 AA GC on 7/13. The transaction has posted but it hasn't been credited and tracker tool shows $0 of $100 used. Will update if anything changes.

You should get it in 7-10 days from transaction date.

Ok, thanks. As of today still no credit and travel rewards shows no usage, but it has only been 6 days. Will keep checking.

Gift cards on AAdvantage Award Travel

I was just about to purchase a gift card to use on fees/taxes for a future award booking and noticed the following in the fine print of the terms:
Gift Cards may not be used for ... AAdvantage Award Travel ... on AA.com

Anyone have experience with this type of gift card redemption as I am not sure I'm reading the terms correctly?

Alaska reimbursement

Wow no love for Alaska Airlines (AS). According to the wiki on the first page, the only credit that is applied is drinks.

You can try (and let us know afterward!), but I won't be surprised if it doesn't. I think someone has posted in the past that they have been told only certain (US-based perhaps?) airlines qualify. Unless you have travel credits on other CC that reimburse you, it should count for travel-related bonus on BoA.
