did the same thing, purchased on 12/31/2020, posted 1/2, still no credit, no meter move as of 1/20/2021. Does anyone know whether the transaction date count or the posting date count? Thanks!

I just got my card so I'm new to this. How do I register my card for AA? Then where exactly do I go to buy my $100 AA GC?

Thx!

No need to register, that's only for AMEX cards. You can use the credit on any/multiple airlines.

Oh? So activate my BoA card, then go and buy the AA GC and I should get a credit in the future?

I'm about to book an Alaska award trip to Fiji/Sydney and the taxes for two people are $57.80 + $57.80 + $25 Partner booking fee (ugh). Anyway I was wondering if this might trigger the credit? I'd rather book the two tix together to avoid another $25 Partner booking fee, but I thought I'd ask here before doing anything. I already have so many AA gift certificates that I never use!!!!

Did you try to say BOA is way more lax than Amex?

That's not quite true, IIRC. There is a few of domestic airlines that qualify for the credits. Unless things have changed recently, credit doesn't work on any foreign airlines.

travelbank United worked, just had to wait until statement date - different than AMEX. But of course because BOA is 5 years in the past vs amex.

The program rules state:
• Purchases made with the following U.S. domestic airline carriers will not qualify for the Airline Incidental Statement Credit: Allegiant Air, Spirit Airlines, and Sun Country Airlines.

Exactly those airlines where the credit is most useful are excluded.

Of note, the BOA Travel Rewards (no fee version of the Premium card) now considers dining under travel as an eligible expense to redeem. IMO, that makes it effectively a cash back card, meaning there's not much reason to pay for the Premium card just to be able to cash out.

That's only temporary, right?
