Pretty obvious that US Bank doesn't want you to buy a lot of GCs to meet the minimum spend. Given what we've read, I'd never buy $3000 worth.
But I am thinking of buying 1 $500 GC. Kind of daring them to shut me down for it. I'd kind of like to see them defend THAT in small claims court.
Of course, while such tough talk sounds nice, it would also be a PITA.

Looks like you were shutdown for buying a single VGC from GCM. Otherwise it's all legit transactions. This is a bit too severe. Not worth to keep this card, I think. Ask them to refund your AF, then you will be at profit.

the single vgc transaction was posted on 05/09/2017.
it has been one month old.
if that is the reason, not sure why they catch it so late.

any lawyer here? Any hope for class action?
since US Bank does not have proof that I violated the card member agreement, the closure violates CA CIV 1747.85.

This is freakin' nuts. I'm going to try to hold on for my bonus miles and never use this card again.

- How do you know what information US Bank holds?
- Does the issuer need proof, or only a reasonable suspicion?
- Does this California code section apply to a Federally regulated out-of-state issuer?
- How have you been harmed, and can you quantify the damages?

If my wife gets the card, can she pay for my Global Entry application and get the credit? I'm thinking the answer is yes, but curious if there is a data point out there?
