Credit bureaus usually merge inquiries from the same requester made on the same day.
Inquiries from BofA and FIA will not be merged.
Does one have to call BoA to lower a card's credit limit?
Yes, there is no longer any way to contact BOA online. Phone is the only method currently.
When do the initial bonus miles post? You will get the miles after the statement closes for the cycle in which you meet your minimum spend. Usually AS points show up the Sunday evening after your statement closes, but sometimes it takes an additional week.
If there's a statement credit, when does it post?
It seems to be batch-processed. It will post automatically. Can be on the same statement or the next statement. It does not appear to be based on the statement close date.
Can you send a secure message through your account online?
No. BOA has removed the secure message functionality, even for Preferred members. The only way to contact BOA now is to call them.
Can I apply for another personal Alaska card if I have one open already?
Some people still can, but these days many people get denied. If you don't want to risk getting denied, it's probably better if you close any existing personal Alaska cards before applying for another one. But be sure to lower credit limit as low as possible at least a few business days before you close the card (though the earlier you can do it the better), because credit limit that's left on the card when you close it stays unavailable to new card applications for a year or more (while credit limit that's lowered as a separate step becomes available to new card applications much sooner)!

I applied for Business card 2 days back for 60k bonus instant approval ( I have an old Alaska Business card opened in 2016 , applied again through same account)-27k limit
Today I applied for personal card 60k +$ 100 Statement credit- instant approval ( i have a personal card too opened in Aug 2021 , i think which had some 30+30 offer not sure)-13 k limit

Just applied for the personal card, no immediate response. Tried the number in the original post, but it's disconnected. Called the number for new credit card applications and was told there's no way to speak to the department that makes decisions and that it can take 7-30 days for a response. Awful. Any suggestions on getting a decision sooner?

2nd: SP, SSN (same SP "name" as before)
I'll see if the SUB has any issues posting like last time. I'm really interested to see if I can apply for a personal card <24 months after getting the first personal card. Some of the DPs here seem to indicate you can. I personally think that the 3k/60k miles is worth a 5/24 slot

Okay, I’m in shock. Even after clicking “Submit” and the system was thinking (for 20 seconds or so) I thought, “I have 2 open cards each with minimal use after the SUB both of which will probably be cancelled at 12.5 months, they’d be crazy to approve me for another one”.
Datapoint: Applied yesterday for (another) BOA Alaska Biz, instant approval, $1,000 higher credit limit than past 2 approvals. (60K/$3K public application via logging into my BOA account/SP/SSN, identical info as prior application)
Still trying to pick my jaw up off the ground

(Sorry, lied about “another Chase and another AmEx application prior to this one”. Ended up being another Chase and two more AmEx applications, those AmEx targeted NLL offers are positively addicting

(8/14/21) … Me too. I was approved for the business card with 40,000 bonus a month or 2 ago and I have experience with Chase and AmEx bonus bumps but no experience with BOA bonus bumps.
I just called BOA, was told no bonus matching and if I want the new offer I should apply for another card. Few more question about applying for the exact same card and the number of identical BOA business credit cards a business may have, was told no specific limit, she answered “yes” to “do you have customers who have 3, 4, 5, 6 or 7 of the exact same cards”. (In retrospect, she may have replied about multiple AU or multiple cards for the same account. )

(9/8/21) Datapoint: Applied yesterday for my second BOA Alaska Air Business Visa. (First application was 4 months ago, pending, called recon immediately, 10 minute call, approved, met minimum spend immediately, card not used since.) Second application instant approval, very pleasantly surprised.
