Read post 844 for tips on being approved for the business card.
It may be easier to get approved for a new business with 0 years and $0 gross income.

Also see the Applying for Business Credit Cards [Consolidated] thread (not-BofA-specific) for general tips on applying for business cards.

Business card Recon Line:
April 2024: BOA Biz Recon (Small Biz Lending, Credit Analyst) 888-782-7717, 888-569-4439 (M-F 8am-7pm EST), both answered by live human in 2-4 minutes. (Both numbers confirmed multiple times in the past 2-3 days.)
866-695-6598 (8-7pm EST M-F)
Biz card status line: 888 663 6262 (not working)
Biz Card credit analyst line: 888-782-7717
Biz card expedited shipping: wait 24 hours after approval for a card number to generate then call 800-901-9830 and a person will answer. If 1st Rep says "no" ask him/her to ck. with a supervisor. This worked for me.

Credit Inquiries
Credit Inquiries for Personal cards come from BofA. Inquiries for business cards come from FIA.
Credit bureaus usually merge inquiries from the same requester made on the same day.
Inquiries from BofA and FIA will not be merged.

Does one have to call BoA to lower a card's credit limit?
Yes, there is no longer any way to contact BOA online. Phone is the only method currently.

When do the initial bonus miles post? You will get the miles after the statement closes for the cycle in which you meet your minimum spend. Usually AS points show up the Sunday evening after your statement closes, but sometimes it takes an additional week.

If there's a statement credit, when does it post?
It seems to be batch-processed. It will post automatically. Can be on the same statement or the next statement. It does not appear to be based on the statement close date.

Can you send a secure message through your account online?
No. BOA has removed the secure message functionality, even for Preferred members. The only way to contact BOA now is to call them.

Can I apply for another personal Alaska card if I have one open already?
Some people still can, but these days many people get denied. If you don't want to risk getting denied, it's probably better if you close any existing personal Alaska cards before applying for another one. But be sure to lower credit limit as low as possible at least a few business days before you close the card (though the earlier you can do it the better), because credit limit that's left on the card when you close it stays unavailable to new card applications for a year or more (while credit limit that's lowered as a separate step becomes available to new card applications much sooner)!

I was also approved for a second Alaska card in January when others were reporting being declined. Like your wife, I have a checking account with BofA. It's not a very active account; it's been open with the minimum no-fee amount for a year and I've been too lazy to close it.

So - it's not true that BofA is denying everyone for a second Alaska card. The checking account may help with approval.

I can confirm this also, but without having a BoA checking account. While holding 1 AS personal card, earlier this month I applied for Merril+, had to call in for approval, which was an easy call. Then applied to another AS personal, again had to call in for easy approval. Then threw in another AS personal app and did not call in. Got the letter later saying app cancelled because they thought it was duplicate.

There may be a way to get some of this done without getting on the phone, despite no chat/message, but it will be very slow: Snail mail.

For example, I believe there was an old-fashioned technique to cancel a card by sending the card cut in half to the bank with a letter asking to cancel it.

Meanwhile, how does someone who's deaf get things done at BofA these days? Do they have TTY?

Did they ask why you wanted to PC when you've only had the card for a couple of months? If so, what was your reason. (Assuming you didn't say you just want to get the bonus again and again and again as quickly as possible. ) Does BofA refund any of the annual fee in such cases? I would almost hope they don't as that would make it look all the more like you're really trying to game the system.

Just called to cancel 2 AS biz cards with the idea to churn them again in a few months. Had already lowered CL to around 1k on each after getting the bonus. Rep offered 5k miles to keep open, and what he said was an annual fee waiver in perpetuity. Offer was available on both accounts; I accepted and will probably close in another couple of months.

More info in the WIKI. See the 1st two lines (previous thread & thread in AS Forum). Personally, I'd wait a few months.

^ +1. The days of churning AS cards like candy are over. BOA has tightened up a lot.

Rejected for personal Alaska card. I have an existing personal Alaska card opened 94 days ago, and cancelled one 10 days ago. Reason given for yesterday's rejection is that I already have one card that's relatively new and they're not able to approve me for a second card because they haven't had long enough to evaluate my credit performance with the new card. (Although it's been perfect with the handful of Alaska cards that I've churned.) YES I read the thread, yes I know that some people are getting rejected for second cards with an existing card open but some are still getting approved. No big deal. I'll be back.

My first personal card was instantly approved on Dec 20, 2016. Before that, no BofA cards.
Had a balance for every statement which got paid in full almost immediately after each statement closed. With only 3 months of payment history:-

Is 100 days too soon for a biz app? Planning to apply on Apr 1st.

Also, those of you who have been instantly approved for the biz version, did they give you the choice to get your card number online instantly?
