Business card Recon Line:
April 2024: BOA Biz Recon (Small Biz Lending, Credit Analyst) 888-782-7717, 888-569-4439 (M-F 8am-7pm EST), both answered by live human in 2-4 minutes. (Both numbers confirmed multiple times in the past 2-3 days.)
866-695-6598 (8-7pm EST M-F)
Biz card status line: 888 663 6262 (not working)
Biz Card credit analyst line: 888-782-7717
Biz card expedited shipping: wait 24 hours after approval for a card number to generate then call 800-901-9830 and a person will answer. If 1st Rep says "no" ask him/her to ck. with a supervisor. This worked for me.

Credit Inquiries
Credit Inquiries for Personal cards come from BofA. Inquiries for business cards come from FIA.
Credit bureaus usually merge inquiries from the same requester made on the same day.
Inquiries from BofA and FIA will not be merged.

Does one have to call BoA to lower a card's credit limit?
Yes, there is no longer any way to contact BOA online. Phone is the only method currently.

When do the initial bonus miles post? You will get the miles after the statement closes for the cycle in which you meet your minimum spend. Usually AS points show up the Sunday evening after your statement closes, but sometimes it takes an additional week.

If there's a statement credit, when does it post?
It seems to be batch-processed. It will post automatically. Can be on the same statement or the next statement. It does not appear to be based on the statement close date.

Can you send a secure message through your account online?
No. BOA has removed the secure message functionality, even for Preferred members. The only way to contact BOA now is to call them.

Can I apply for another personal Alaska card if I have one open already?
Some people still can, but these days many people get denied. If you don't want to risk getting denied, it's probably better if you close any existing personal Alaska cards before applying for another one. But be sure to lower credit limit as low as possible at least a few business days before you close the card (though the earlier you can do it the better), because credit limit that's left on the card when you close it stays unavailable to new card applications for a year or more (while credit limit that's lowered as a separate step becomes available to new card applications much sooner)!

Had the Alaska Biz card for a year. Annual fee just hit. Closed the card 3-4 days ago but the annual has not been automatically refunded like on Chase and Amex cards. Does B of A not refund the fee if cancelled within 30days like other card issuers?

I've never assumed the AF would be automatically refunded with ANY bank. I always call, chat or send a PM. I'd call them just to be on the safe side. So, you don't see much value in keeping the card and using the Companion Fare cert? It saves me $100s every time I use it.

40K mile offer--

This is a random, targeted, offer that has been reported here:
Hey California, get a 40,000 bonus mile offer for a limited time only. (BofA Visa)

YES, this was on the AS site. Saw it also. Knew that some had received targeted offer last week via emails and discussed on Alaska Airlines FT forum. Now , when I open the AS site, the 30,000 offer is back.
The 30,000 offer requires $1,000 spend to receive miles and Companion Pass. The 40,000 offer requires $2,000 spend for the miles. Easier for each of us to open a card, spend $1,000 each and each get 30,000 miles and 2 companion codes. YMMV

Got the annual fee charged on my Alaska Airlines Business Card.

Are there any retention offers for the Alaska Airlines Business Card? I called in and both the rep and her manager said there's no account credits, retention offers available... nothing.

Does the annual companion pass certificate post to your Alaska account when the annual fee is billed, or is it like Amex where it takes 6-8 weeks after? My annual fee just hit, and I am wondering if I can cancel the card once I get the cert but before the payment is due.

Well, considering people get multiple Alaska cards at the same time, I am assuming you could safely apply anytime.

The issue is that BoA is way pickier on approving people at all these days if you are seasoned in this world. Yes, there are exceptions, but look at the trends.

Good luck whatever you choose to do!

Has anybody had luck getting to the actual application page for the 40k offer in the last couple of days? I can pull up the 40k offer on the AS site but when I click through the BoA website doesn't load it.

Keep us updated. The more data points we have the better we understand why BofA deny applications. ^

Recon failed, reason being too many account. It is true I am a churner and had 7/12.
Asked what is the # I have to get down to within a month, she said she couldn't answer.
Asked if opening a CD or bank account or investment account would help, she said she couldn't answer.

Then what is her job?

If recon moves the 2.5K from one cc to another, to get to signature cc. do you have to do anything else to get the bonus you applied for? it used to mostly happen automatically, but now how does it work?
so if they put in the signature card request, is that all that needs to be done?

*my goodness bofa is so hard to get approved for. what a struggle compared to the past.
