Best roadside assistance for authorized users
My father is going to be driving his older van about 500 miles in a few weeks (I tried to get him to let me get him a rental car but he refused). I have several cards currently and wanted to see which, if any may provide some roadside assistance if I add him as an authorized user? For the cards I have it seems like the Amex business gold or chase ink might be best, but I can't tell for sure those would cover him.

maybe list the cards you have? I doubt you'll do a new app just for this
what kind of roadside assistance do you want? a lot of them are basic ones (AAA basic/credit cards), covers up to 5-10 miles towing and stuff like jumpstart/lockout/gas-delivery (or some max value amount like $100) AAA premium covers up to 100/200 miles what about the car insurance? some insurace covers/offers option to cover roadside assistance too |
Most roadside assistance coverages, including those from your auto insurance, are provided in a form of reimbursement. In other word, they reimburse up to a set amount, rather than a concretely defined benefit.
In your case, an AAA membership may serve you better given then distance. |
I vote for the AAA membership.
