Very late to the game-need card selection help
Hello Forum,
Newbie here with newbie questions. Have started trying to take this all in and it is overwhelming to say the least. Seems I am a little late to the game, but as they say better late than never! Would like some help in possibly figuring out a strategy for tackling two trips on my bucket list and would like to "potentially" get by paying as much as I can with points/miles. I currently live in PHX, so that would be my departure city. I am looking to go to OTP and CPT. It would just be myself, I would like to do it in Business/First if possible but not mandatory, and understand it won't happen overnight. My preferred airline is Delta, though I am not married to that either. I just got a targeted offer in the mail a month ago for the DL Gold with 60,000 sign up miles. I already cleared the spending limit and have banked those points. I am currently sitting at a shade over 70k in miles in my DL account. I do not have miles with anyone else. I have enough spending in the next 3 months to clear at least 10k in spending requirements. I would like to get as many DL points as possible but am worried reading posts that AMEX is a one and done in a lifetime now. As I stated before, though, I am willing to take anyone. Anyone have good suggestions on what cards I should potentially be shooting for? In my lifetime, I have only redeemed this offer. I have the Quicksilver card aswell that gives me 1.5% cash back but am running out of ways to find that useful anymore. Thanks in advance for any help! |
Where are you trying to get to, trip wise, and when? The more details you give, the more we can help.
With what you've given, I can say/do, absolutely nothing. Edit: Bucarest and Capt Town? Same trip or different? Either way you're gonna need a hella lot more Skypesos than you currently have. |

Although not mandatory, located at PHX means your obvious choice will be AA. Also - DL's program simply sucks from its foundation. |
