PNC Points Visa?
 

I have a PNC Virtual Wallet account. They just sent me a pre approval notice for the PNC Points Visa card. It says it gives 4 pts per dollar. Plus, I receive a 75% bonus because of the PNC Virtual Wallet account.

Anyone feel this is a good deal? I'm on the sidelines.

Succinctly, it's less than 2%.

Not particularly a good deal.

For gift cards, the 4x point is basically moot as the redemption has been inflated for 4x relatively. However, the redemption rate is generally better than Citi's TY except the high amount ($100). The 75% bonus is definitely a plus if you can get it.

The worst is there is no opening bonus :p

Citi Double Cash is way much simpler and you can earn a little more than this PNC card.

PNC is also antiquated in some of the standard operating procedures. For example, when you do a balance transfer, they actually take two weeks to snail mail a check to the other creditor. Another is if they charge you a late fee, they instantly begin charging interest on the late fee. They also sometimes make serious mistakes, such as, confusing your credit report with someone else's.
