Points.com Transaction coding

Does anybody know how Points.com miles purchases are coded by Barclay card or Capital one? I was thinking it might make sense to trade in some Capital One points or Arrival points for discounted Alaska miles. I think that would only work though if they code Points.com as a travel expense.

Forgive me if this has been answered somewhere else. I searched but couldn't find anything.

Does not code as travel.
