Hi

I recently upgraded my credit card to miles card for HDFC. Along with, came priority pass card for use in lounges. What is not clear is, if this is paid facility? Do I have to pay for use of lounge and this card merely grants me membership?

Any experience will be helpful.

some are free entry some have a 29.00 charge not the lounge but card issuers

No idea what HDFC card is.:confused: Priority Pass has several membership levels. It depends on your card issuer.

Look at your card to see which membership level you have and the equivalent cost.
  • Standard ($99 annually): Member visit fee US$27, Guest visit fee US$27

  • Standard Plus ($249 annually): 10 Free visits, then Member visit fee US$27, Guest visit fee US$27

  • Prestige ($399 annually): Unlimited Free visits, Guest visit fee US$27

HDFC's website is very clear on the PP:

Priority Pass membership worth $99 per annum is complimentary. Enjoy 4 free accesses to Priority Pass lounges yearly. A usage fee of up to $27 per person per visit (including any accompanying guest) will be charged to the card account after the free accesses are used. The above fee is indicative and usage charges may vary from lounge to lounge. Please visit www.prioritypass.com for more details.Priority Pass will be issued on request by Cardmember.
