Statement close date and pending charges

One of my CC's statement close day is tomorrow 7/4. I put a very large charge today on it. Do pending charges get posted through over the weekend? Or am I going to get unlucky and have my statement cut showing the large purchase?

Depends on the bank. But most banks need 1-2 biz days for charges to post especially large ones

I've never had a charge close to statement close post on that statement

Like said, it depends on the bank and possibly the merchant as well. I've found everyday preferred to post much quicker than my aviator.

I also don't remember having a statement actually closed during the weekend. IIRC, it's always either one business day before or after. So if your statement closes on next Monday, there's a possibility it will close with the large purchase from today.

In almost all cases, a charge made a day before the statement closing date will go on the current statement. I haven't seen that weekends make any difference. But it might vary depending on which bank you are dealing with.

The CC is from Barclay

My charges a day before statement with Barclays appear on the current statement. The weekend closing date may help you, but I would expect it on this statement.

Statement closed tonight for some reason, big charge is still pending. I got lucky :D
