Current welcome offer is 50,000 30,000 Crystal points with $5,000 $3,000 spending in the first 90 days. First annual fee not waived. (as of telephone call with bank employee 8/7/2019)

Past bonuses were:

***** #1502 - signup bonus 1/16/18 BUT ANNUAL FEE NOT WAIVED ******

100,000 points after spending $5,000 in first three months. Offer expires 30 December 2015. EXPIRED

A 70,000 points offer was offered back in March 2017 and expired March 31st, 2017. EXPIRED

The requirements for the application process varies from bank to bank based on various online data points collected from FlyerTalk, Doctor of Credit, etc.

Some banks require that you go into a branch and apply personally. Other banks want you to have another account open for 90 days before you can get this card. Some banks (if you already have a relationship with them) let you apply via mail. Sometimes you have to be a resident of the state they operate in, while some were able to get the card without living in those states. It is very much YMMV. You will need proof of income (W2, check stubs, etc). The only states City National Bank operates in are: NY, DE (only trust office, no go), DC, GA, TN, MN, NV & CA. The bank is looking for high net worth individuals, but that's not exactly consistent either.

The card has no foreign transactions fees and is fee-free the first year, then $400 annually.

Register your card for online access (cno.cnb.com). This changed on Sept 19 2019.
Register separately for the award page (www.cnbrewards.com).
Register for Visa Infinite info and access at https://myvisainfinite.com/cnb/en_us/home.html
Click "my info" to see details on points awarded.

Yes, I used points for a one-way SVO-JFK on Aeroflot. I got about 1.21 cents per point -- initially quoted about 1.18, and then when I clicked through at the end the number of points actually dropped! I did not have to pay any cash. The only glitch was that in order to get the PNR I had to stop by an Aeroflot desk -- I probably could have called, but I was traveling through Russia so it was just as easy.

How long did it take to get the credit? I bought $100 AA GC on an a new AU card 10/24. Still no credit on 10/31. Previous credits were 4-5 days.

updating an earlier post, i was able to downgrade my crystal card to a visa signature (no annual fee). 3x gas, 2x dining and grocers, 1x everything else + standard visa signature benefits. i don't have a huge credit line with CNB, but i like them for checking and savings accounts and figured it was worth keeping a credit/lending relationship with them. plus, if i do want to get the crystal card again, it will probably be easier to upgrade than to reapply.

one note: it took four phone calls to do it. the first three were of the "i don't know, let me look into that and have someone call you back" variety.

Cancelled the card over the weekend. No retention offer at all nor was I questioned on the cancellation. Their service is not that great (long hold time to reach CS)

The statement with my AF is in about a week. I'm still undecided if I should cancel or not, and it really all depends on the ease of getting the airline credit at this point. I just don't have any charges for airline incidentals. So far things aren't looking good. I like the $100 airline discount, but not enough to justify the AF.

That is a concern.

1. Are you sure you didn't use up your $250 from earlier this year?
2. Is this for your primary card or authorized user?
3. Is this for a physical or e-gift card?
4. Have you had success before?

1. I used the Travel Credit earlier this year on the Primary Card.

2. This attempt is on a new AU's card. Each card should have it's own $250 credit.

3. This was for an AA e-gift card.

4. Yes. Bought and e-gift card earlier this year and received the credit.

Question, Does the United MPX still work? Just did a $50 test today with amazon gc. Will let you guys know but if someone can answer as well that would be great.
This was the last data point on AA GC, albeit physical. livestrong, can you shed some light as to how much this GC was for?

It wouldn't give for MPX purchases. The MPX app passes through merchant category codes correctly to Visa, MasterCard, and Discover cards, so Amazon shows up as something to the effect of a bookstore. You wouldn't get credit for a bookstore.

I wonder if the AU credit was killed off.
