Current welcome offer is 50,000 30,000 Crystal points with $5,000 $3,000 spending in the first 90 days. First annual fee not waived. (as of telephone call with bank employee 8/7/2019)

Past bonuses were:

***** #1502 - signup bonus 1/16/18 BUT ANNUAL FEE NOT WAIVED ******

100,000 points after spending $5,000 in first three months. Offer expires 30 December 2015. EXPIRED

A 70,000 points offer was offered back in March 2017 and expired March 31st, 2017. EXPIRED

The requirements for the application process varies from bank to bank based on various online data points collected from FlyerTalk, Doctor of Credit, etc.

Some banks require that you go into a branch and apply personally. Other banks want you to have another account open for 90 days before you can get this card. Some banks (if you already have a relationship with them) let you apply via mail. Sometimes you have to be a resident of the state they operate in, while some were able to get the card without living in those states. It is very much YMMV. You will need proof of income (W2, check stubs, etc). The only states City National Bank operates in are: NY, DE (only trust office, no go), DC, GA, TN, MN, NV & CA. The bank is looking for high net worth individuals, but that's not exactly consistent either.

The card has no foreign transactions fees and is fee-free the first year, then $400 annually.

Register your card for online access (cno.cnb.com). This changed on Sept 19 2019.
Register separately for the award page (www.cnbrewards.com).
Register for Visa Infinite info and access at https://myvisainfinite.com/cnb/en_us/home.html
Click "my info" to see details on points awarded.

Thanks for your DP. One question, are those grocery expense categorized into grocery on CNB website? I know when you click a transaction, it shows you the details including a MCC Description.

when is the payment due for new CNB guys? My second statement is approaching and it's stating zero payment due! The first month was also zero payment due although I had balance and have not paid anything since opening the account. Is it usual to have two months of zero payment due? Or there is something weird in my account?

you would only have zero payment due if you don't have a balance. Do you have a balance or not?

[Air incidental credit fee DP]

Purchased a $250 AA eGC, Trans date 5/22/2017, post date 5/24/2017. Received $250 Travel Fee Rebate, Trans date 05/26/2017, post date 05/30/2017.

Use AUs card for AA Seat selection fee (MCE) $51.77, Trans date 05/26/2017 Post date 05/29/2017, Travel Fee Rebate $51.77, Trans date 05/28/2017, Post date 05/31/2017.

I actually think it makes no sense to take out the seat fee as most US airlines charge for it. We travel as a family without airline status, and it is almost always impossible to be seated together unless you pay for it.

I received a check from City National, with my balance on the card. The letter said that if you have positive balance for more than 120 days, they will issue a check.

Has anyone checked the city national gift cards new prices? This is insane! It's 25% of card value! So if you want to buy the $1000 card, you need to redeem 125,000 points! which equals $250! If I remember well, it used to cost $5 (500 points) only!

Wow, that sucks. It certainly was only 105,000 points a couple months ago (I've got my $1000 card sitting here that I just received not long ago). At this point there's zero incentive to save points up for the $1000 level, since every redemption level has the same (crummy) point/$ ratio.

Sometimes you're able to find flights with over 1 cent/point value. Not much over but still better than nothing.
