***** #1502 - signup bonus 1/16/18 BUT ANNUAL FEE NOT WAIVED ******

100,000 points after spending $5,000 in first three months. Offer expires 30 December 2015. EXPIRED

A 70,000 points offer was offered back in March 2017 and expired March 31st, 2017. EXPIRED

The requirements for the application process varies from bank to bank based on various online data points collected from FlyerTalk, Doctor of Credit, etc.

Some banks require that you go into a branch and apply personally. Other banks want you to have another account open for 90 days before you can get this card. Some banks (if you already have a relationship with them) let you apply via mail. Sometimes you have to be a resident of the state they operate in, while some were able to get the card without living in those states. It is very much YMMV. You will need proof of income (W2, check stubs, etc). The only states City National Bank operates in are: NY, DE (only trust office, no go), DC, GA, TN, MN, NV & CA. The bank is looking for high net worth individuals, but that's not exactly consistent either.

The card has no foreign transactions fees and is fee-free the first year, then $400 annually.

Register your card for online access (cno.cnb.com). This changed on Sept 19 2019.
Register separately for the award page (www.cnbrewards.com).
Register for Visa Infinite info and access at https://myvisainfinite.com/cnb/en_us/home.html
Click "my info" to see details on points awarded.

I agree, It looks like cnb is adapting/limiting the users from those tricks.
Maybe next year, this card only gives you $250 for all accounts.

This card keep failing from fantastic to mediocre.

GCs have always been excluded according to the terms, so unless they figure out how to exclude them on the IT side, no reason to expect that to change.

Any recent experiences on reimbursements for AA award taxes? I'm about to push the button on an award with ~$200 in taxes. I'd rather save my Citi Prestige credits for actual airfare, but I'll use it instead if CNB isn't crediting these back.

Not sure if this has been answered (I did search) but a couple of questions: (1) Does the AU get his/her own Priority Pass Card? If so, does that come automatically or one has to do something to get it? (2) Does the AU get $100 Global Entry application fee reimbursement? Thanks in advance for any information that you can provide.

not sure on the Global Entry credit, but one AU gets a priority pass card. they cap PP memberships at two per account, so you can't get a separate card for each AU if you have multiple.

Thanks. Do I have to do anything about it or will the AU Priority Pass show up automatically (we just received the AU credit card a couple of days ago)?

In the other Ritz Carlton credit card thread, AA gift card is now coded as giftcard in the transaction.

AU card benefits

Update on info I was seeking for an AU card:
(1) I have now found one positive report in this thread of Global Entry fee being paid for an AU. (2) As mentioned above, a Priority Pass card should be available for one AU. I still do not know whether it is sent to the AU card holder automatically (I have only one AU) or the primary card holder has to do put in a request for it somehow. If someone knows, please post. Thanks.

GE is covered for AUs, and PP is sent automatically.

What is the significance of this to CNB? Does this mean that CNB AA giftcard purchases are also coded as giftcards now? In other words, was the Ritz Carlton code a change in Ritz Carlton's side or a change in AA's side?

I made award ticket purchases last week from SW and AA, I have yet to see a refund for the fees posted. Couldn't buy AA GCs because I'm in NJ.

Not sure this means anything as far as CNB. I just did a $50 AA GC and the transaction appears nearly identical in the online transaction report to the earlier ones that were successfully reimbursed. Only the reference numbers are different. I'll report back whether it gets reimbursed or not, but at first glance, I don't see it being coded any differently.

Got reimbursed for AA reward purchases, here is the timeline:
03/05/2016 03/09/2016 TRAVEL FEE REBATE
03/05/2016 03/09/2016 TRAVEL FEE REBATE
03/02/2016 03/04/2016 AMERICAN
03/02/2016 03/04/2016 AMERICAN

Maybe I overshot for SW award fees which came out to $120 and this was before AA purchase and no refund for them.
