***** #1502 - New signup bonus 1/16/18 BUT ANNUAL FEE NOT WAIVED ******

Past bonuses were:

100,000 points after spending $5,000 in first three months. Offer expires 30 December 2015. EXPIRED

A 70,000 points offer was offered back in March 2017 and expired March 31st, 2017. EXPIRED

The requirements for the application process varies from bank to bank based on various online data points collected from FlyerTalk, Doctor of Credit, etc.

Some banks require that you go into a branch and apply personally. Other banks want you to have another account open for 90 days before you can get this card. Some banks (if you already have a relationship with them) let you apply via mail. Sometimes you have to be a resident of the state they operate in, while some were able to get the card without living in those states. It is very much YMMV. You will need proof of income (W2, check stubs, etc). The only states City National Bank operates in are: NY, DE (only trust office, no go), DC, GA, TN, MN, NV & CA. The bank is looking for high net worth individuals, but that's not exactly consistent either.

The card has no foreign transactions fees and is fee-free the first year, then $400 annually.

Register your card for online access (Cnb.com/creditcardonline) and register separately for the award page (www.cnbrewards.com). Click "my info" to see details on points awarded.
Best* redemption found to date is $1,000 prepaid visa for 105K pts. It's now 125K pts for a $1,000 prepaid visa. Link to catalog
*(other than spending for flights etc. & getting 1.2 cents each in value)

To set-up spending alerts, create an account here : http://citynationalbank.digitalcardservice.com

Point redemptions for flights have been reported as being as high as 1.35cpp (see here) by calling the Concierge service at +1 800 595 8950 and having them book direct from airline website for you

$100 Global Entry fee credit - works on AU card as well Per DDResq post 842
Priority Pass lounge membership for up to 2 people. No fee for any number of guests, but lounge policy may limit the number of guests admitted.
12 GoGo inflight passes - create an account at myvisainfinite.com/cnb. Once the account is created, you enter, then search for GoGo passes. You then input your card number again, create a GoGo account if you don't have one, and the 12 passes post to it ready to be used when you fly again on a participating airline. - works on AU card as well
$100 off when you book a qualifying airline itinerary via visa discount air portal (https://www.visadiscountair.com/CNB/default.aspx
$30 off GroundLink car service (works with AU cards as well) plus instant 15% off rides. There are $25 current user referrals to go for first.

Airline fees are reimbursed up to $250 per calendar year. Fees must be from domestic carriers. There is no need to declare a carrier, and fees can be reimbursed from multiple carriers. Partial Ts and Cs:

Qualifying Airline Purchases are defined as incidental airline fee transactions made at eligible US Domestic Airline Carriers and include: ticket change/cancellation fees, checked baggage fees, inflight entertainment, onboard food and beverage charges, airport lounge membership fees and day passes, onboard wireless charges (excluding Gogo Wireless), and TSA Pre✓ģ membership application fee.

if i purchase an AA gc today and it posts before 1/1, is it ok for the credit to show in 01/2019? does it count against 2018 credit or 2019?

I was curious about this as well. Reading the terms and conditions of the card it states that the charge must post by year end to be included in the calendar year credit. Based on the terms I would think as long is it posts before the end of the year it should count towards that years credit.

Are you stating that one can get 4 AUs? Most if not all blog posts about this card mentions that card can have up to 3 AUs; I guess that is based on "time of application?"

Good luck.
I received my card and my AU's in the same package; next day shipping.

Different card numbers for AU

i received my primary card and made a $250 aa egift card purchase. Iím hoping it will post by year end and be credited for 2018. I have my wife as an AU but I havenít received her card. Any chance I can use the AU fee credit by making another purchase on the primary card? Are they different card numbers? Is there a way they differentiate between primary and AU charges?

CNB issues unique card numbers. This will not work.

Cards all have different numbers. (I suspect that will eventually change in the future)

There is some way on the web site that you can go into the charges and drill into them to see who charged what.

(My kids are only allowed to get 1 fast food meal a week, and I can tell when they do that....)

Has anyone tried to change the cardholders who get Priority Pass after the initial Priority Pass cards have been issued? I boneheadedly signed myself up for the PP membership even though I already receive it via another card...

Well my purchases on AA from the 27th have not posted yet. They are not even in pending. Even though I got the purchased email confirmation from AA. Fingers crossed because I am not stupid enough to call.

I bought one on 12/22 and another with AU card on 12/24 - both posted on 12/24 but didn't show up until a few days later. Like you keeping fingers crossed on the credits ...

Thanks for this. I actually charged an AA egc 12/24/2018, still haven't received credit. I also just received my authorized users CC's today. Does anyone have any experience with the travel credit getting applied as long as transaction date is before new year? I looked in previous years and I couldn't find any sample.

I also saw this though:

I had $109 of seat fees eligible for reimbursement but was only reimbursed for $100 because I maxed out of the $250 annual limit in 2015. If it was counted towards 2016, I would have been reimbursed for the full $109...

I called crystal concierge and was told (after she confirmed and called me back) Visa allows 7 business day after the 1st of the year for posting to receive credits for the current year. So my guess is you will still get credits for this year if you make a purchase today. I made one on 12/29 and still waiting for it to post too.

this could also explain why posting at the beginning of the year is slow for purchases made after 1/1.
