The requirements for the application process varies from bank to bank based on various online data points collected from FlyerTalk, Doctor of Credit, etc.

Some banks require that you go into a branch and apply personally. Other banks want you to have another account open for 90 days before you can get this card. Some banks (if you already have a relationship with them) let you apply via mail. Sometimes you have to be a resident of the state they operate in, while some were able to get the card without living in those states. It is very much YMMV. You will need proof of income (W2, check stubs, etc). The only states City National Bank operates in are: NY, DE (only trust office, no go), DC, GA, TN, MN, NV & CA. The bank is looking for high net worth individuals, but that's not exactly consistent either.

The card has no foreign transactions fees and is fee-free the first year, then $400 annually.

Register your card for online access (cno.cnb.com). This changed on Sept 19 2019.
Register separately for the award page (www.cnbrewards.com).
Register for Visa Infinite info and access at https://myvisainfinite.com/cnb/en_us/home.html
Click "my info" to see details on points awarded.
Best* redemption found to date is $1,000 prepaid visa for 105K pts. It's now 125K pts for a $1,000 prepaid visa. Link to catalog
*(other than spending for flights etc. & getting 1.2 cents each in value)

If they pulled my credit Friday morning (around 9 am) and by Friday evening around 5 pm it was still processing, is that a good sign? Would they have declined it by then if it wasn’t going to be approved? Or, am I still in the 50/50 boat?

Thanks.
I'd say 2-3 days would be normal for the approval process. Their process is a little more in depth than just pulling your credit report...if it was that easy they probably could just approve you on the spot.

Question for those that have actually started using the card already.

Are there like a whole bunch of sites you have to sign up for? So far i've had to create an account for the Credit Card online services, an account just to setup Credit Card alerts, an account for the Rewards, an account for the Visa infinite portal, and an account for Online banking...

I tried using the app but it looks like you have to use your Online banking login info and that account actually has to go under review before it gets created?!

I'm use to just logging into Chase or Amex and having all the features under one account...

To be expected, all of their site interfaces are pretty meh. They get the job done but are definitely not as good as the Chase or Amex ones.

But would they decline you over a few days too, or, if it takes a few days, it’s usually an approval? I’m just trying to figure out my odds, and I know that normal companies either deny you on the spot or it’s usually an approval if it takes longer.

I provided them my last 2 paystubs right when applying too.

Lounge credit data

Has anyone received day pass credits from CNB instead of a one time $550 annual credit for airline club membership?
It sounds like few people here utilize the credits toward lounge purchases, as I don't think there were any DPs for this question. But in addition to charging day passes, have people used the card for drink/food purchases within the lounge and were they credited?

Do you have a particular lounge or brand in mind? Some airlines outsource lounge food and beverage to a contractor who may use its own merchant account, which means the charge will not be from the airline.

Another lounge question...the terms specify any membership "worldwide".

Are there any paid memberships worth considering for non-US airlines? Assuming based in the US....

I use both AA & UA lounges so would be good to know either, but in this case I'll be visiting UA a couple of times before year end.

Does anyone know if travel charges made in 2018, but credited in 2019 as part of the $250 rebate, count toward the 2018 calendar year or 2019 calendar year rebate?

Great question--I was wondering the same thing. Anyone have any DPs on how this has been processed in prior years?

Based on previous year's experience, it is based on purchase date, rather than the time when the credit is received. I have credits received in the following year but count against the previous year's rebate. Also for newcomers, you may not see the first rebate of the year until mid to end of January even though your spending is Jan 1. So no need to be worrying about how come the rebate is still not there yet based on the current datapoints. If I remember right, people who made purchase by certain dates have credit showing up at the same time...You can go back past year's beginning of the year post to see the details of it.

Are there any people on here who have purchased AA $250 GCs for AUs and never received the travel credit? Trying to collect DPs on how successful people have been getting AA GC travel credits the past few months..

When I asked my banker if she counted as an AU and how many more I could add, she said that I could only add 2 more AUs. I guess you could technically have wife co-apply but explicitly ask not to give her a card, therefore leaving 3 AU slots?
Do you recall if there was a second hard-pull for second application? I am deciding whether to add wife from the get go or go it alone first.

Not OP but I applied solo, was denied, then applied with P2 as co-applicant, and was approved. They pulled my credit twice.
