Current welcome offer is 50,000 Crystal points with $5,000 spending in the first 90 days. First annual fee (not?) waived. (as of 4/1/2019)

Past bonuses were:

***** #1502 - signup bonus 1/16/18 BUT ANNUAL FEE NOT WAIVED ******

100,000 points after spending $5,000 in first three months. Offer expires 30 December 2015. EXPIRED

A 70,000 points offer was offered back in March 2017 and expired March 31st, 2017. EXPIRED

The requirements for the application process varies from bank to bank based on various online data points collected from FlyerTalk, Doctor of Credit, etc.

Some banks require that you go into a branch and apply personally. Other banks want you to have another account open for 90 days before you can get this card. Some banks (if you already have a relationship with them) let you apply via mail. Sometimes you have to be a resident of the state they operate in, while some were able to get the card without living in those states. It is very much YMMV. You will need proof of income (W2, check stubs, etc). The only states City National Bank operates in are: NY, DE (only trust office, no go), DC, GA, TN, MN, NV & CA. The bank is looking for high net worth individuals, but that's not exactly consistent either.

The card has no foreign transactions fees and is fee-free the first year, then $400 annually.

Register your card for online access (Cnb.com/creditcardonline).
Register separately for the award page (www.cnbrewards.com).
Register for Visa Infinite info and access at https://myvisainfinite.com/cnb/en_us/home.html
Click "my info" to see details on points awarded.

Trouble getting egc on aa.com

When I attempted to buy egc on aa.com, I kept getting error message of address and zip not matching that on record. Has anyone experienced this?

I had something similar where the bank entered an authorized user's address incorrectly (or not at all). This made it tough for the AU to get an AA eGC. In my case, the authorized user's address defaulted to my address (main cardholder). The AU just entered my address as the billing address to solve the problem. Later contacted CNB to rectify the authorized user's home address.

Bunch purchasing is also a good way to get eyeballs on the account(s). Remember that egc are not actually permitted under the T&C.

I just got the card a few weeks ago and today activated 12 gogo passes from one of the cards onto my gogo account. Will I get another 12 on this card on January 1, or is it a rolling 12 months?

I've read here that each of my AU card numbers also get 12. That's great, but I'm wondering if I need to load up my account with all AU's 12 passes for 2018 before Jan 1 hits. The expiration date on the 12 I just added is 12/11/19.

This took me a long time to find so I am going to do everyone a favor here.

PGGM refers to an old Dan's deal thread where poster Platinum Guy first posted his idea for scoring a travel rebate on an Amex card. "Grand Mehalach" means "great idea" - from what I gather there are quite a few posters in that forum that enjoy yiddish references. The original PGGM was to purchase DL airline tickets, then make a separate purchase of $200 in seat upgrade fees, then cancel all transactions within 24 hours. The $200 Amex travel credit would often post before the airline refund transactions as airlines are well known for slow refunds. IMO this is borderline fraudulent as you are receiving a credit for a transaction that was cancelled. And ultimately it appears that Amex eliminated this loophole and the original PGGM died circa 2016

In the present tense, you can refer to the Wiki for legitimate transactions that qualify for the $200 travel credit on the CNB card. IMO it is not wise to process multiple large transactions (particularly in the same amount) on the same day as these may be rejected as duplicate transactions or worse. Similarly I don't find it wise to utilize PGGM for these transactions as it may draw additional scrutiny to your account and potentially shut down this benefit. YMMV

Be smart, not greedy. This is a great card with great perks including unlimited Priority Pass guests and other perks. Don't ruin it by abusing the system. Mahalo

Actually I think it was a Delta change rather than an AMEX. Delta changed premium economy from seat upgrades to class upgrades. That eliminated the ability to use it for plat credits.

May I ask did you see the credit posted on Dec 06 or Dec 04? I purchased $250 AA eGC on Dec 03 but have not yet seen the credit. I am afraid I will not get the credit since the account is quite new.

I was just wrapping up my year-end credit usage and had done a $50 AA GC. My Trans Date was Dec 2, Post Date was Dec 4. Credit came through with Trans Date of 12/6 and Post Date of 12/10. FWIW...

Can someone tell me how long it takes to receive the card after approval? My banker is adamant the card cannot be expedited and will take 10 business days. However, I live in LA where I believe they are headquartered.

I have to submit my AUs upon approval, anyone have any datapoints on how long it takes for AU cards to be mailed?

Thank you.
