You will need proof of income (W2, check stubs, etc). The only states City National Bank operates in are: NY, DE (only trust office, no go), DC, GA, TN, MN, NV & CA. The bank is looking for high net worth individuals, but that's not exactly consistent either.
The card has no foreign transactions fees and is fee-free the first year, then $400 annually.

I did SW PGGM US-Mex on 1/15, $81 charge. I didn't get the credit. Last year I didn't get the credit for international itineraries for some reason but I know others did. I think I haven't gotten it because of how late I did it but I would be interested in any datapoints of people who made transactions (PGGM or gift card) after the first week of January.

In any case, I made my $81 charge on 1/15, so it's possible CNB just reviewed the early January charges so far. I just made another $58 SWA award charge yesterday so if the $58 one credits but $81 one doesn't, I'll know for sure.

It's strange that a $80+ SWA fee isn't posting, but a $100+ AA gift card is.
In any case, I made my $81 charge on 1/15, so it's possible CNB just reviewed the early January charges so far. I just made another $58 SWA award charge yesterday so if the $58 one credits but $81 one doesn't, I'll know for sure.

I wanted to post my results of using United gift registry. I had done a test $75 GR charge back on Jan 8. After reading this thread I hadn't expected it to work since it sounded like it didn't for a lot of folks. Weeks passed and I didn't see any credit, and I figured it was dead. Then today I went and looked in my account and found, to my surprise, that 1/24 I did indeed have a "Travel Fee Rebate" credit of $75!
So it seems like the United Gift Registry isn't dead after all! I'll go ahead and make more deposits there to check the limit, like I did last year.
And to respond to another question, I also checked my Clear membership and it looks like mine got renewed through the end of 2017 so that seems active as well.

Nope, mine says renew for $$$ annual fee. currently not active. I thought earlier in the year it did say it was through 2017, but either I'm crazy or they checked and changed.

With PGGM being dead, and only these AA credits being credited, I was really hesitating this year since I haven't flown AA in a loong time ... so decided to try something new -- I purchased one of the low fare (sub-$50) fare on Alaska and got the "fee" rebate posted. I guess there may be some trigger amount, but this definitely means I'm not cancelling this year. Need to do a bunch of reservations now.
Anyone else tried AS PGGM? Please share as I need to decide in 2 days whether to keep this card... thanks!
