Past bonuses were:

***** #1502 - signup bonus 1/16/18 BUT ANNUAL FEE NOT WAIVED ******

100,000 points after spending $5,000 in first three months. Offer expires 30 December 2015. EXPIRED

A 70,000 points offer was offered back in March 2017 and expired March 31st, 2017. EXPIRED

The requirements for the application process varies from bank to bank based on various online data points collected from FlyerTalk, Doctor of Credit, etc.

Some banks require that you go into a branch and apply personally. Other banks want you to have another account open for 90 days before you can get this card. Some banks (if you already have a relationship with them) let you apply via mail. Sometimes you have to be a resident of the state they operate in, while some were able to get the card without living in those states. It is very much YMMV. You will need proof of income (W2, check stubs, etc). The only states City National Bank operates in are: NY, DE (only trust office, no go), DC, GA, TN, MN, NV & CA. The bank is looking for high net worth individuals, but that's not exactly consistent either.

The card has no foreign transactions fees and is fee-free the first year, then $400 annually.

Register your card for online access (cno.cnb.com). This changed on Sept 19 2019.
Register separately for the award page (www.cnbrewards.com).
Register for Visa Infinite info and access at https://myvisainfinite.com/cnb/en_us/home.html
Click "my info" to see details on points awarded.
Best* redemption found to date is $1,000 prepaid visa for 105K pts. It's now 125K pts for a $1,000 prepaid visa. Link to catalog

Maybe a really dumb question. Does primary insurance coverage for both the primary card holder and the authorized card holder, or just the primary? TIA!

Thanks for the DP. I think the questions came up recently because the T&C's were updated in October of 2018, and the word Primary disappeared from the language. It would be nice to have a DP from after October, but yours helps, and the conversations I have had with the benefits people seems to show that it is still primary. Thanks again.

The car rental insurance is primary. Last month, for my trip to Rome, I requested a letter from City National Card Benefit Services to verify their Auto Rental Collision Damage Waiver Benefit. I always requested this letter to show to the car rental agency outside the US. The letter clearly stated "This coverage is primary where available".

I forgot but is the $250 reimbursements per calendar year or after each annual anniversary month?

I called CSR recently, she mentioned in US it is secondly, while aboard it is primary. I asked if it is because I don't have my own insurance out of US. She basically agreed. So it sounds to me it is secondly after the update. U got the full coverage because your own insurance won't cover ur Rome trip.

Just applied for and was approved for this card (+ 3AUs), so I've been following this thread. I did ask the banker who got my app approved about this specifically, and he said the following with regard to the new T&Cs:

Those expenses refer to ancillary coverages and/or riders in those aforementioned insurances programs. Ex. Some auto insurance carriers will pay for certain medical expenses or at-fault liabilities caused by an auto accident. CDW on the Crystal cards just covers physical damage to the auto rental.

He assured me that the CDW coverage is also primary in the US.

Are these tickets treated like revenue flights? Do they earn miles?

Does the CNB card cover lost item protection?

I've foolishly lost a pair of snowboard boots i just purchased in the back of an uber and had it been purchased with my platinum card, I would've been able to claim this.

Thanks!

Does anybody know if the Global Entry credit covers each Authorized User, or just 1 $100 credit per account in total?

Does the $250 in airline incidentals count towards the spend for the 50K sign-up bonus?

Last edited by WAStraveller; Jan 24, 2019 at 1:24 pm Reason: 50K.. not $50K!
