Current welcome offer is 50,000 30,000 Crystal points with $5,000 $3,000 spending in the first 90 days. First annual fee not waived. (as of telephone call with bank employee 8/7/2019)

Past bonuses were:

***** #1502 - signup bonus 1/16/18 BUT ANNUAL FEE NOT WAIVED ******

100,000 points after spending $5,000 in first three months. Offer expires 30 December 2015. EXPIRED

A 70,000 points offer was offered back in March 2017 and expired March 31st, 2017. EXPIRED

The requirements for the application process varies from bank to bank based on various online data points collected from FlyerTalk, Doctor of Credit, etc.

Some banks require that you go into a branch and apply personally. Other banks want you to have another account open for 90 days before you can get this card. Some banks (if you already have a relationship with them) let you apply via mail. Sometimes you have to be a resident of the state they operate in, while some were able to get the card without living in those states. It is very much YMMV. You will need proof of income (W2, check stubs, etc). The only states City National Bank operates in are: NY, DE (only trust office, no go), DC, GA, TN, MN, NV & CA. The bank is looking for high net worth individuals, but that's not exactly consistent either.

The card has no foreign transactions fees and is fee-free the first year, then $400 annually.

Register your card for online access (cno.cnb.com). This changed on Sept 19 2019.
Register separately for the award page (www.cnbrewards.com).
Register for Visa Infinite info and access at https://myvisainfinite.com/cnb/en_us/home.html
Click "my info" to see details on points awarded.

My credit was pulled a second time for the second application. If you're weary of the hard pulls and am not certain on approval, I'd go in with a co-applicant from the start.

For unknown reasons, Delta has a reputation for not posting properly. However since that is a likely to be a true incidental charge under their T&C, if there is a problem getting the credit to appear, you could call in and ask them to take a look at it. Most of the time one should not call the bank when they are doing things outside the stated rules, but if its a legit bona fide airline incidental, one is in a better position to make a call.

I have gotten delta baggage fees credited back before. Granted, it was only $25 at a time so not on the same ball park as you. If I remember correctly, delta fees appear as "DELTA BAGGAGE FEE" as the merchant name so I imagine it _should_ just be a quick call to get your credit back since the merchant name makes it self explanatory.

Also note that there are some DP here in the forum saying that december/January credits tend to get delayed a lot longer than normal. Who knows if you're due for a credit without even doing a thing

They're marked as DELTA BAGGAGE FEE, but its over $150, so I'm curious as to if it will get reimbursed or not.

I want to avoid calling if at all possible for everyones sake, I can wait its been about 10 days

Now it is time to proceed with using the AU credits.

Why would you avoid calling for a legitimate reimbursement? Baggage fees are exactly what this credit is supposed to be used for. Obviously you shouldn't call for GC or other workarounds.

It's really for my curiosity: how they are supposed to know when the travel reimbursement should apply? If you pay for a Delta seat upgrade for example, does it really say "seat upgrade" in the transaction description? I see above about baggage fees.
Other airlines also specify exactly what the charge is for?
I believe American Airlines gift card works because it's a charge from AA that doesn't have any description so they end up reimbursing. All other eligible airlines include "gift card" in the transaction description? What if buy a gift card at the airport (maybe at their counter/office, don't know if they offer that).

You could only see the credit on the 19th, correct? I don't think there is a way to see this credit as pending between the 15th and 19th?

That is correct. In fact, I could only see the 19th credit as of the 20th...

Do you know this for certain? Most other cards/banks would count the spend.
I am doing the exact experiment ($4k MS, $1K AA gift cards) and will report back.

Sorry i don't know for sure, personally i've never cut it that close where the statement credit amounts would matter.
My understanding is that it is YMMV and to be safe I don't cut it that close. But please do report back as now i'm curious
