The requirements for the application process varies from bank to bank based on various online data points collected from FlyerTalk, Doctor of Credit, etc.

Some banks require that you go into a branch and apply personally. Other banks want you to have another account open for 90 days before you can get this card. Some banks (if you already have a relationship with them) let you apply via mail. Sometimes you have to be a resident of the state they operate in, while some were able to get the card without living in those states. It is very much YMMV. You will need proof of income (W2, check stubs, etc). The only states City National Bank operates in are: NY, DE (only trust office, no go), DC, GA, TN, MN, NV & CA. The bank is looking for high net worth individuals, but that's not exactly consistent either.

The card has no foreign transactions fees and is fee-free the first year, then $400 annually.

Register your card for online access (cno.cnb.com). This changed on Sept 19 2019.
Register separately for the award page (www.cnbrewards.com).
Register for Visa Infinite info and access at https://myvisainfinite.com/cnb/en_us/home.html
Click "my info" to see details on points awarded.
Best* redemption found to date is $1,000 prepaid visa for 105K pts. It's now 125K pts for a $1,000 prepaid visa. Link to catalog

It is 15. It is printed right on the application. At first, my banker said AUs need to be 18+. But when I showed him the application, he agreed and accepted my 16 yr old AU.

None of my AUs have any record of the card or a HP on their reports - so no, in my experience it doesn’t count towards their 5/24 status

Any insight into what this may mean? Criteria for approval, what you need to supply to apply, if you can apply online, etc.

Seems benefits changed as of 10/01/2018. I haven't read the document yet, just got a letter in the mail. I guess I will read now and check what actually changed. Let's hope for the best... :S
Online version of the benefit guide has also been updated:
https://www.cnb.com/SiteCollectionDo...l-Benefits.pdf

Not sure if this has anything to do with the comments posted earlier regarding being easier to apply starting on Oct 1st.

Based on the letter they sent me, there are key changes in these areas:
  • Visa Infinite Discount Air Benefit (also known as Visa infinite discount portal benefit)
    • There was some wording added related to Visa and CNB cancelling your visa infinite portal access if you don't follow the rules of the portal (primary traveler must be the cardholder paying for the trip using their crystal card, etc)
    • They also mention cancelling your visa travel portal access if Visa believes you're involved in fraudulent or suspicious behavior, etc.
  • Visa Infinite Car Rental Privilege (specifically silvercar) -> I don't care about this benefit so I didn't read it much
  • Visa Infinite Hotel Privilege -> I don't care about this benefit so I didn't read it much
From what I saw, the travel credit and priority pass seem to be there still. I do not see specific mention of the "primary" aspect of the CDW.

Yes I was looking for the 'primary' part of CDW too, and didn't see it either.

there are some reports of people who co-applied that can add 3 AU for a total of 5 cards (2 each applicant + 3 AU). This supposedly also allows you to get 3 priority pass cards for whatever reason based on that comment. I can't remember if I read that in this forum or another website.

Will this card show up on AU's credit report? What impact will this card have on AU whatsoever?

Recent data points on comments 1709 and 1712 above. Seems like AU accounts are not reported to bureaus.

I saw there was a passage in the new agreement that may take away the "primary" benefit, but not sure. It still claims to be a "CDW" but includes this line as an exclusion: Expenses reimbursable by your insurer, employer, or employer's insurance

Not sure if this line was in the previous version.

The website still shows primary insurance, but they may not have updated it yet. https://www.cnb.com/lending/cards/in...redit-card.asp
Enjoy primary insurance coverage for automobile rentals made with your Crystal Visa Infinite Card. This benefit allows you to decline the auto rental company’s collision damage waiver or similar provision.

When we spend something behind $250 ariline credit, will that count towards initial $5,000 spend to get 50k/75k bonus in first 90 days?

The $5000 min spend is net spending. Annual fees, returns, credits do not count. Depending on the timing it may count but technically NO.

Really thinking about signing up for this but DL and AS are the major airlines out of my hub (UA is also possible but less convenient). Seems like AA GCs are the only ones left that work. Is it worth signing up? I want to use it to replace my CSR but a lot of the insurance on here is secondary but maybe someone has a story/experience they can share? Anyone have any luck with using their credit for other airline GCs?
