Current welcome offer is 50,000 30,000 Crystal points with $5,000 $3,000 spending in the first 90 days. First annual fee not waived. (as of telephone call with bank employee 8/7/2019)

Past bonuses were:

***** #1502 - signup bonus 1/16/18 BUT ANNUAL FEE NOT WAIVED ******

100,000 points after spending $5,000 in first three months. Offer expires 30 December 2015. EXPIRED

A 70,000 points offer was offered back in March 2017 and expired March 31st, 2017. EXPIRED

The requirements for the application process varies from bank to bank based on various online data points collected from FlyerTalk, Doctor of Credit, etc.

Some banks require that you go into a branch and apply personally. Other banks want you to have another account open for 90 days before you can get this card. Some banks (if you already have a relationship with them) let you apply via mail. Sometimes you have to be a resident of the state they operate in, while some were able to get the card without living in those states. It is very much YMMV. You will need proof of income (W2, check stubs, etc). The only states City National Bank operates in are: NY, DE (only trust office, no go), DC, GA, TN, MN, NV & CA. The bank is looking for high net worth individuals, but that's not exactly consistent either.

The card has no foreign transactions fees and is fee-free the first year, then $400 annually.

Register your card for online access (cno.cnb.com). This changed on Sept 19 2019.
Register separately for the award page (www.cnbrewards.com).
Register for Visa Infinite info and access at https://myvisainfinite.com/cnb/en_us/home.html
Click "my info" to see details on points awarded.
Best* redemption found to date is $1,000 prepaid visa for 105K pts. It's now 125K pts for a $1,000 prepaid visa. Link to catalog

Does the $250 airline fee credit work as soon as the card is approved and activated or only after the $5k spend for the 100k points?

Thanks

The global entry credit came in within two days of charge and I have not done with the 5K spend yet. I suspect $250 would work also not needing the spend.

Both my wife and I got approved via the Palo Alto office. Her income is only around $100k, so the bar is definitely not THAT high. She did need to open a savings account with a $500 deposit. I apparently applied right before the cutoff. Apparently the banker controls the requested credit line, and maximum is $40k.

Did anyone else catch the 12 free Gogo sessions per year per card? This is a pretty good additional benefit! Strangely, my AU's card already came but not my primary card.

I waiting a bit on these since I don't fly much and they have a 12 month expiration. Same with Clear membership. Clear is a 12 months membership from when you sign up with Clear - not with CNB. I'm going to sign up in a few months a few weeks before I travel. Just trying to maximize the benefits before I inevitably cancel.

i've already misinterpreted the benefits guide once in this thread, but it sounds like the free clear membership renews every year as long as its still offered as a benefit on the card.

If, at the end of your annual membership, the CLEAR
offer is no longer offered, or you no longer meet City
National Bank's eligibility requirements (i.e., the Crystal
Visa Infinite Card account must be opened and in good
standing), you will be given the option of renewing your
CLEAR membership by paying the then-applicable retail
rate. Any such renewal of your CLEAR membership will
be subject to CLEAR's then-current terms and conditions,
policies, deadlines and fees that apply.

That's the way I read it as well. But that's assuming you'll have the CNB Visa Infinite card longer than one year.

100K points offer

Would like to know if the 100K offer is still valid ?
I am planning to go to the local branch tomorrow to apply. Do I need to bring any proof of income ?
Really appreciate your help.

It was valid last week when I applied. I had to provide money to fund a $500 checking account along with proof of income.

I tracked down the Ts and Cs for the airline credit.

Airline Incidental Fees Statement Credit
What is the Airline Incidental Fees Statement Credit
benefit and how does it work?
Under the Airline Incidental Fees Statement Credit benefit,
each cardholder under the Crystal Visa Infinite Card account
("Account") may receive a discount up to $250 per calendar
year for Qualifying Airline Purchases (as defined below)
charged to the cardholder's Crystal Visa Infinite Card
("Cardholder Card").
The discount will be in the form of a statement credit to the
Account and will appear on the billing statement as "Travel
Fee Rebate" under the transactions for the Cardholder Card.
To receive the statement credit, both the Cardholder Card
and the Account must be open and in good standing (i.e., not
in default) on the date the statement credit is posted to the
Cardholder Card. Please allow 6 to 8 weeks after a Qualifying
Airline Purchase is charged for a statement credit to be
posted to the Account. Until such time as the statement
credit has posted to the Account, the Crystal Visa Infinite
Account holder is responsible for the payment of the
Qualifying Airline Purchase that has been charged to
Cardholder Card and appears on the billing statement.
Qualifying Airline Purchases are defined as incidental airline
fee transactions made at eligible US-Domestic Airline
Carriers
(each an "Eligible Airline") on domestic itineraries
and include: seat upgrade charges, ticket change/cancellation
fees, checked baggage fees, in-flight entertainment, onboard
food and beverage charges, airport lounge membership fees
and day passes, onboard wireless charges (excluding Gogo
Wireless)
, and TSA Pre® membership application fee1
transactions, and may vary depending on the airline.

I don't see a requirement to specify the carrier. It seems that I can have charges reimbursed at more than one carrier.

I am disappointed to see the US carrier restriction as I expect to have a number of international award redemption fees.

And if I am reading it right, each cardholder meaning the account holder and one authorized user, get the $250 credit which would mean $500 per household per year.

Regarding domestic vs. international, I would think fees for an international award booked using AA, UA etc miles should work

Wonder if airline gift cards will work...
