Reconciled my records
I was wrong, Google pay preauth and final post $ can differ. But the $ different is quite small (3 cents out of $40) and final fx rate is usually 0.1% from xe
My physical chip/contactless transactions, $ difference between preauth are usually larger (5 cents out of $10) and rate usually 0.1-0.3% from xe

Just withdrew 50 euros in Italy using Schwab debit card tied to my Investors checking acct.
XE shows rate of $1.1143 and Schwab subtracted $56.06 for a rate of $1.1212.
Only about $0.007 difference but i recalled it wasnt even that high in the past.
Anyone else use the Schwab debit?
Certainly way better than Chase Sapphire but have this vague sense that it used to be right at XE.
