Why Was the Credit Card Programs Forum Gutted?

Good question. It looks like nearly everything on page 2 and beyond was moved, and some of the moves don't make sense. Anything to do with Citi cards ended up under Citi Thank You Rewards, even if the card doesn't give Thank You rewards (like the Exec AAdvantage card, Hilton HHonors Reserve, the new Citi 2% cash back card, etc.). If someone wants to group all the Citi material together, the subject should be changed to Citi rather than Citi Thank You Rewards.

The American Express, Chase and Citi forums primarily host discussions of their proprietary rewards programs, and this is reflected in the forum titles. However, if you read the forum descriptions you will understand that they also host discussion of other cards issued by the same banks, because there are policies and practices which are the same without regard to the rewards program.

This means that the Citi forum will host some discussion of AAdvantage and HHonors cards, but the primary place to discuss those programs will continue to be the American Airlines and Hilton forums.

Can we make a Flyertalk suggestion to have a "Credit Card offers" forum that has all the offers? Back in the day we loaded the "Milesbuzz" forum for all the offers... then it was the "Credit Card Programs" forum.

Now we have to go to forums that are misleading like the other poster mentioned. Thank You Rewards doesn't have anything to do with AA or Hilton credit cards and Ultimate Rewards are not the Marriott, United, or Southwest credit card...

Surely with the all the advertising dollars that come in on this site, someone could organize these a little better, and/or change titles?

In the American Airlines | AAdvantage forum we discuss not only the AAdvantage program, but every aspect of flying American Airlines.

Likewise, in the Chase | Ultimate Rewards forum we discuss not only the Ultimate Rewards program, but also the co-branded airline, hotel and rail credit cards which are issued by Chase.

If you find the forum naming confusing, even after reading the accompanying descriptions, you may wish to propose a change in the TalkBoard forum, which is located here:
