Best way to add to initial purchase bonus of 20K is to add AUs (and quite a few of them, too!).

Thinking of getting my feet wet in this bc looking to redeem UD in the near future.
Does anyone bother applying for the BOA VS Black and White cards http://www.virginatlantic.com/us/en/...edit-card.html , or do you guys just keep churning the VS 90K card every 90 days?
Seems not worth it because of the $49 AF per card, although it's only 1 purchase to get the 20K + 12.5K miles

For those who've applied and were approved for this card (90k offer), did the welcome packet look like the general one they send out for most offers which mentions spending 20,000... but doesn't mention spending 50,000 in 6 months to get an extra bonus? I realize it's mentioned in the terms of the offer being applied for, but does it always show up in the welcome packet too?

Somehow I was under the impression that there are 3 types
- the black and white mentioned in this link http://www.virginatlantic.com/us/en/...lack-card.html where the sign-up bonus is more inferior
- the black 90 K one in this link https://secure.bankofamerica.com/applynow/welcome.go or many other links in wiki
there seem to be 2 diff versions of black card

I have had one VA card for a couple of years and was wondering if I can get the annual bonus two times for meeting the $25K spending twice. So, if I spend $50K in one calendar year, would I get the 30K bonus or no bonus after I get the 15K bonus? If not, would getting a second card make a difference?

There is no more bonuses above the $25k threshold after your first year. However, you can continue to do get 7.5K after $15K and another 7.5K after $25k as an anniversary bonus if you can meet these spending thresholds. If you do decide to spend $50k in your first year then all you get are extra tier points for status purposes above the $25k threshold (1 point/$2500).
I have had as many as three VS cards open at one time and I got the bonus miles for all three, 90K+ each time. Currently down to one card. I have churned this card 6 times in 4 years. Only once have I done the max $25K spending threshold (earned over 115k miles as a result).
