Most Underrated Credit Card?

Everybody knows about the Chase Sapphire Preferred and Barclays Arrival, but what is a card that you think is under rated? It can be because it has a great sign up bonus or because it has great earning potential

Considering the Priviledge includes 60 commission free trades, maybe.

Thanks, hopefully get some good responses. I'm pretty new to FT, but assuming I can continue to edit the OP I'll do so once recommendations come in.

Yeah, I started that thread as well. Interesting to see the differences in recommended cards by all of the forums.

I'm thinking about getting the Club Carlson card. I need to make sure there are enough Ramadas et al in places I am going to be staying though.

The second night free on award stays seems hard to beat.

Ha ha. Of course. The Ramada card would have to offer excellent value.

The Upromise Card

The Upromise card is the most underrated, IMHO. You earn 5 percent on all purchases made through their shopping portal, and there are many travel vendors in the portal offering 5 percent additional payback, so a total of 10 percent off of online travel bookings. Also pays 3 percent on gas purchases from Exxon/Mobil. This is a cash back card. It is not just for college students or their parents. Anyone can register with Upromise.

Upromise is for everyone? I never knew that. How does one claim cashback?

I rarely hear about this card, but it's one of my favorites for its earning potential for most people:

The Sallie Mae card from Barclays pays 5% cash back at gas stations (up to $250 per month), 5% cash back at grocery stores (up to $250 per month), and 5% cash back at book stores including Amazon (up to $750 per month).

You can request a check for your cash back balance:
